"My first day at WWEE was the first day of the rest of my life. I learned to
have hope...and I learned to believe in ME." |

Volunteer!
One of the best ways to make a difference in our communities is to volunteer.
Volunteering lets you see first hand how your generosity can change lives, change families, and change communities.
Are you interested in making a difference?
As a volunteer I am helping women take control of their future and that gives me tremendous satisfaction. I am proud and inspired of each and every WWEE Student. - Jenn, WWEE Volunteer
If you are ready to help WWEE transform lives, please fill out our Volunteer
Application and send it
to Amy Kostelecky-Roe, WWEE's Volunteer Manager. Volunteer Applications can be sent by mail to 3516 South 47th Street, Suite 205 Tacoma, WA 98409. You can also fax applications to (253) 474-3366. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Amy

WWEE has many exciting opportunities for volunteers in both our King County and Pierce County locations. Contact WWEE's Volunteer Manager to learn which projects are currently available. (See a sampling of volunteer projects below):
Do you love clothes? Would you like to help WWEE help participants make
the best impression possible? Consider volunteering to staff the Clothing Closet in King or Pierce
counties. Volunteers may work behind the scenes sorting clothing or soliciting donations, or they
may work directly with "customers" searching for interview outfits. Volunteers may work as many or
as few hours as they desire.

Do you like to work one-on-one or in small groups with students? Do you have the ability to work with
students in resume development, basic computer literacy, not-so-basic computer literacy (Word, Excel,
Access, PowerPoint, the Internet), or business English? If so, please let us know. Instructional
aides help out 2-8 hours per month.

Want to share your office skills? Consider volunteering 2-4 hours per week in one of
WWEE's offices. Office volunteers assist with reception duties, help with small office
tasks like mailings, and can assist with data entry into our client or donor database.
Volunteers become part of the WWEE family, and are thanked profusely each and every time they volunteer!

WWEE partners with FISH Food Banks of Pierce County to provide periodic deliveries of groceries to our clients. Working with our clients to determine their individual needs, we customize the groceries delivered specifically for them and their families. In this way, we honor their hard work as they progress toward their goal of self-sufficiency.
As a Food Outreach Volunteer, you could be involved in this vital project, providing food to fulfill our clients’ needs. Once a month, join our volunteer team as we gather at a FISH Food Bank branch, pack grocery bags for our clients and deliver them to the WWEE offices.

Do you like to plan parties? WWEE relies on volunteers to help put on our special events.
Volunteers may help set up on the day of the event, assist with mailings, assist with planning
decorations, help recruit table captains, or host a table themselves.

What gifts do you bring? Do you have a special talent or skill that you would like to share as a
volunteer? There are endless opportunities to make a difference as a WWEE volunteer and we take
time to find just the right volunteer experience to fit your special skills and interests. Tell
us about your talent and expertise and we'll find the perfect fit for you.
