WWEE Success Stories
After her release from a treatment center in 1985, Cheri was
determined to turn her life around. She knew that her new resolve did not fit her
old lifestyle. However, she didn’t have the confidence or direction to make the
necessary changes. Cheri discovered WWEE and decided to see if WWEE’s programs could help her.
At WWEE Cheri learned job-readiness skills including how to create a resume, write
cover and thank you letters, and business etiquette; more importantly, though, she
gained the confidence she was lacking before. That confidence spoke loud and clear
to her one day and said, “I’m worth more than this.” Without looking back, Cheri
quit her job in a bar and opened up her own consignment shop. Finally, Cheri was on
the track for the right fit in her life. She taught herself how to run a successful
retail shop and help support her family.
Some years later, while shopping for comfortable shoes to wear in a Breast Cancer walk,
Cheri discovered Shoes-n-Feet. She was impressed by their philosophy of only selling
shoes with the right fit. When she saw them practice that philosophy by not selling her
shoes that she liked but didn’t fit, she was hooked. Later, Cheri found out about a
Shoes-n-Feet franchise opportunity that sounded perfect for her. After interviewing and
training, the company felt Cheri was just the right fit too!
Cheri says, “WWEE taught me to have the confidence to tackle anything I set my mind to.”
Cheri has been searching for the right fit these past 19 years and if you visit her in her
Tacoma shop you might discover that she’s not only found her “right fit” but she may have
one for your feet as well!
