Housing Bridge to Self-Sufficiency Programs

WWEE’s housing program provides resources to help low-income families stabilize their home and life circumstances. The program assists families in reducing barriers in achieving employment and self-sufficiency goals.

Housing participants work with a case manager to develop a plan which addresses short and long-term barriers and goals. Participants are expected to follow through with the plan which they developed in order to receive assistance.

Rental Assistance Program

The Rental Assistance program helps homeless families to stabilize their home and life circumstances. The program provides assistance with a portion of move-in expenses (deposit, first month’s rent, etc.) and additional assistance with a portion of rent for the following few months. Rent is based on income and family size.

Transitional Housing Program

The Transitional Housing program helps homeless families who are nearing self-sufficiency with stabilizing their home and life circumstances. The program provides up to one year of residency at the Catalina Apartments in Tacoma. Rent is based on income and family size.

Homeless Prevention Program

The Homeless Prevention program is an emergency housing program that assists families who are facing imminent eviction or are at risk of losing their home due to foreclosure. This program works to stabilize their current home and life circumstances by providing emergency rental or mortgage assistance.
