About Us

Nearly 30 years ago, four visionary women set out to help those less fortunate in their community. Their vision has given over 14,000 families the opportunity to create a better life for themselves and break the cycle of poverty.

Washington Women's Employment & Education (WWEE) is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization providing job-readiness and computer skills training along with housing and support services to low-income residents of Pierce and King counties in Washington state.

WWEE helps people break the cycle of poverty and build self-confidence. More than 14,000 families have benefited from our powerful 5-week course covering computer skills and essential life coping strategies, as well as ongoing housing, job-readiness and work experience internship programs. Our clients say the ultimate benefit of the program is gaining the confidence to believe in themselves and become self-sufficient.
